Drones offer a world of possibilities in the offshore industry. In the future, Offshorenergy.dk will focus on the potential of drones in innovation and collaboration projects.
Drones are on the government’s agenda, including the design of a drone strategy to expand the use of drones. That is why Offshoreenergy.dk has teamed up with a number of other innovation networks to promote the implementation of drones in the offshore industry.
“Drones have so much potential that if used correctly – they can be a real game-changer for the industry. That is why Offshoreenergy.dk is actively pushing to ensure that we get the drone agenda onto everyone’s radar,” says Glenda Napier, CEO of Offshoreenergy.dk.
The aim of the cluster organization is to ensure innovation and development, and one way of doing this is to provide the industry with innovation from other industries. The new drone project, which has just been launched under the auspices of Offshoreenergy.dk, aims to increase the use of drones offshore:
“Drones can significantly improve the efficiency of a variety of tasks, and they can be deployed to tackle inaccessible or dangerous tasks. The potential for the use of drones in the offshore industry needs to be exploited,” says Glenda Napier.
